✧ In the death of the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ وَذَكَرَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ
«شَهِدْتُهُ يَوْمَ دَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَمَا رَأَيْتُ يَوْمًا قَطُّ كَانَ أَحْسَنَ وَلَا أَضْوَأَ مِنْ يَوْمٍ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَشَهِدْتُهُ يَوْمَ مَوْتِهِ فَمَا رَأَيْتُ يَوْمًا كَانَ أَقْبَحَ وَلَا أَظْلَمَ مِنْ يَوْمٍ مَاتَ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ»
Translation

✧ I witnessed the day he entered Madinah, and I never saw a day more beautiful or more radiant than the day on which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered to us. And I witnessed the day of his death, and I never saw a day more ugly or darker than the day on which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died.
