✧ Prohibition of facing the Qibla while defecating or urinating

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ مَوْلَى سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ أَنْتَ رَسُولِي إِلَى أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ فَقُلْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكُمُ السَّلَامَ وَيَأْمُرُكُمْ إِذَا خَرَجْتُمْ فَلَا تَسْتَقْبِلُوا الْقِبْلَةَ وَلَا تَسْتَدْبِرُوهَا

Translation

  5. Muḥammad b. Qays a freed slave of Sahl b. Ḥunayf
  6. Sahl b. Ḥunayf

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said to him: "You are my messenger to the people of Makkah. Say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sends you greetings of peace and commands you that when you go out, do not face the qiblah nor turn your backs to it."
