أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ هُوَ ابْنُ الْعَوَّامِ عَنْ عَوْفٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ شَيْءٍ فَقَالَ «يَا أَبَا الْعَالِيَةِ أَتُرِيدُ
أَنْ تَكُونَ مُفْتِيًا؟» فَقُلْتُ لَا وَلَكِنْ لَا آمَنُ أَنْ تَذْهَبُوا وَنَبْقَى فَقَالَ «صَدَقَ أَبُو الْعَالِيَةِ»
