Sunan ad-Darimi 33

✧ What the Prophet ﷺ honored more than the pulpit of Hunayn

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُومُ إِلَى جِذْعٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُجْعَلَ الْمِنْبَرُ فَلَمَّا جُعِلَ الْمِنْبَرُ حَنَّ ذَلِكَ الْجِذْعُ حَتَّى سَمِعْنَا حَنِينَهُ فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهِ فَسَكَنَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to stand by a trunk before the pulpit was made. When the pulpit was made, that trunk yearned until we heard its yearning, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placed his hand on it and it became still.
