Sunan ad-Darimi 3252

✧ If a man has bequeathed half and another a third

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ

فِي رَجُلٍ أَوْصَى لِرَجُلٍ بِنِصْفِ مَالِهِ وَلِآخَرَ بِثُلُثِ مَالِهِ قَالَ يَضْرِبَانِ بِذَلِكَ فِي الثُّلُثِ هَذَا بِالنِّصْفِ وَهَذَا بِالثُّلُثِ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  4. al-Ḥasan

✧ Regarding a man who bequeathed to one man half of his wealth and to another a third of his wealth, he said: “They are both entitled to that within the third, this one with the half and this one with the third.”
