Sunan ad-Darimi 2827

✧ Verily, Allah has a hundred mercies.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ

«جَعَلَ اللَّهُ الرَّحْمَةَ مِائَةَ جُزْءٍ فَأَمْسَكَ عِنْدَهُ تِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ وَأَنْزَلَ فِي الْأَرْضِ جُزْءًا وَاحِدًا فَمِنْ ذَلِكَ الْجُزْءِ يَتَرَاحَمُ الْخَلْقُ حَتَّى تَرْفَعَ الْفَرَسُ حَافِرَهَا عَنْ وَلَدِهَا خَشْيَةَ أَنْ تُصِيبَهُ»

Translation

  6. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ «Allah made mercy into one hundred parts. He kept ninety-nine with Himself and sent down one part to the earth. From that one part, creatures show mercy to each other, so that a mare lifts her hoof from her foal lest she injure it.»
