Sunan ad-Darimi 2285

✧ The man marries his father's wife

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّقِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

لَقِيتُ عَمِّي وَمَعَهُ رَايَةٌ فَقُلْتُ أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ؟ قَالَ «بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى رَجُلٍ نَكَحَ امْرَأَةَ أَبِيهِ فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَضْرِبَ عُنُقَهُ وَآخُذَ مَالَهُ»

✧ I met my uncle, and he had a banner. I said, 'Where are you heading?' He said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me to a man who married his father's wife, and he commanded me to strike his neck and take his property.'
