machine translationMūsā b. ʿUqbah narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Ibn Jurayj narrated it from Mūsā, and there is disagreement about Ibn Jurayj. Mandal b. ʿAlī and Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd al-Umawī narrated it from Ibn Jurayj, from Mūsā b. ʿUqbah, from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, from the Prophet ﷺ, but both erred in attributing it to the Prophet (raf'). The correct version is what Abū ʿĀṣim, Ḥajjāj and ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated from Ibn Jurayj with this chain as a statement of Ibn ʿUmar (mawqūf). Likewise Ayyūb narrated it from Nāfiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar, as mawqūf.
