✧ A man came who had prepared food to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of Allah, like this,” and he gestured to him with his hand. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, “Like this,” and he pointed to ʿĀʾishah. He said, “No.” So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned away from him. Then he gestured to him a second time, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gestured to him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned away from him. Then he gestured to him a third time, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, “And this one?” He said, “Yes.” So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went with him along with ʿĀʾishah, and they both ate from his food.
