أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَدِينِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ قَالَتْ أَخْبَرَتْنِي أُمُّ عُثْمَانَ بِنْتُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«لَيْسَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ حَلْقٌ إِنَّمَا عَلَى النِّسَاءِ التَّقْصِيرُ»

The Prophet ﷺ said: Shaving is not a duty laid on women; only clipping the hair is incumbent on them. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1984)
