Sunan ad-Darimi 1810

✧ In the virtue of the fasting person

أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

لَخُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ أَطْيَبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ وَلِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ فَرْحَةٌ عِنْدَ فِطْرِهِ وَفَرْحَةٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Translation

  5. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ The change in the breath of the fasting person is more pleasant to Allah than the fragrance of musk. The fasting person has two joys: a joy when he breaks his fast and a joy on the Day of Resurrection.
