Translation

✧ Ibn Umar ؓ met him during tawaf and said to him: "O Abu al-Sha'tha, you are among the fuqaha of Basra, so do not give fatwa except by a speaking Quran or an established Sunnah. If you do otherwise, you will perish and cause others to perish."
