أَخْبَرَنَا صَدَقَةُ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ
جَاءَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ وَمَرْوَانُ يَخْطُبُ فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَأَتَاهُ الْحَرَسُ يَمْنَعُونَهُ فَقَالَ «مَا كُنْتُ أَتْرُكُهُمَا وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَأْمُرُ بِهِمَا»

✧ Abū Saʿīd came while Marwān was delivering the sermon. He stood to pray two rakʿahs. The guards came to prevent him, and he said, 'I would not abandon them, for I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ command them.'
