✧ I used to spend the night in the mosque, and I had no family. I saw in a dream as if I was taken to a well in which there were men hanging, and it was said, “Take him to the right side.” I mentioned the dream to Ḥafṣah and said, “Tell it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” She told it to him, and he said, “Who saw this?” She said, “Ibn ʿUmar.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Excellent young man,” or he said, “Excellent man, if only he would pray at night.” He said, “And when I slept, I would not get up until morning.” He said, “So Ibn ʿUmar used to pray at night.”
