What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

  • الحازمي

    رواية من أرسل أصح

machine translationThe narration of the one who transmitted it as a mursal report is more authentic (aṣaḥḥ).

    in مسند الدارمي, p. 1355
  • Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī

هذا حديث يعد في أفراد شريك وإنما تابعه همام مرسلا كذا ذكره البخاري وغيره من الحفاظ المتقدمين وهو المحفوظ

machine translationThis hadith is counted among the unique narrations (afrād) of Sharīk. Only Hammām corroborated him, and as a mursal report. Thus it was stated by al-Bukhārī and other early memorizers (ḥuffāẓ), and that is the preserved (maḥfūẓ) version.

    in مسند الدارمي, p. 1355
  • Khaṭṭābī

حديث وائل أثبت من حديث تقديم اليدين

machine translationThe hadith of Wāʾil is more firmly established than the hadith of placing the hands first.

    in مسند الدارمي, p. 1355
