أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ حَدَّثَنِي شَيْبَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الرَّاسِبِيُّ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُضَاجِعُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فِي لِحَافٍ وَاحِدٍ فَقَالَ «أَمَّا نَحْنُ آلَ عُمَرَ فَنَهْجُرُهُنَّ إِذَا كُنَّ حُيَّضًا»

✧ I asked Sālim b. ʿAbd Allāh about a man who lies with his wife under one blanket while she is menstruating. He said, “As for us, the family of ʿUmar, we avoid them when they are menstruating.”
