أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ
كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي لِحَافٍ فَوَجَدْتُ مَا تَجِدُ النِّسَاءُ فَقُمْتُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا لَكِ أَنَفِسْتِ؟» قُلْتُ وَجَدْتُ مَا تَجِدُ النِّسَاءُ قَالَ «ذَاكَ مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ عَلَى بَنَاتِ آدَمَ» قَالَتْ فَقُمْتُ فَأَصْلَحْتُ مِنْ شَأْنِي ثُمَّ رَجَعْتُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «ادْخُلِي فِي اللِّحَافِ» فَدَخَلْتُ
Translation

✧ I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ under a blanket, and I experienced what women experience, so I got up. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What is the matter with you? Have you started menstruating?" I said, "I have experienced what women experience." He said, "That is what Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam." So I got up, attended to my state, then returned. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Enter under the blanket," so I entered.
