  • Abū Zakariyyā Yaḥyá b. Sharaf al-Nawawī

machine translationAl-Nawawī said: the statement of a group of the authors of jurisprudence that this ḥadīth is weak (ḍaʿīf) is to be rejected.

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 861
  • Ibn al-Qaṭṭān

machine translationThe defect (ʿillah) of this report is the aforementioned Mussah, who is called Umm Busah; her condition and identity are not known, and she is not known outside this ḥadīth. Al-Tirmidhī said this in his ʿIlal. He said: so her report is weak in its chain (isnād) and objectionable in its text (munkar al-matn).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 861
  • Khaṭṭābī

machine translationMuḥammad b. Ismāʿīl praised this ḥadīth of Mussah and said: this Mussah is Azdiyyah, the name of Abū Sahl is Kathīr b. Ziyād, and ʿAlī b. ʿAbd al-Aʿlā is trustworthy (thiqah).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 861
  • Azdī

  • M. ibn Ḥibbān al-Bustī
