✧ On Clarifying the Awrah and the Thigh as Part of It

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا دَاوُدَ السِّجِسْتَانِيَّ يَقُولُ وَمِمَّا يَدُلُّ عَلَى ضَعْفِ حَدِيثِ الْأَعْمَشِ هَذَا أَنَّ حَفْصَ بْنَ غِيَاثٍ وَقَفَهُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ وَأَنْكَرَ أَنْ يَكُونَ مَرْفُوعًا أَوَّلُهُ وَأَنْكَرَ
أَنْ يَكُونَ فِيهِ الْوُضُوءُ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ وَدَلَّ عَلَى ضَعْفِ حَدِيثِ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ أَيْضًا أَنَّ الزُّهْرِيَّ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَقَالَ فِيهِ فَكَانَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ لِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ هَذَا كُلُّهُ قَوْلِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ
Translation
✧ That it contains the wudu for every prayer, and it also indicates the weakness of the hadith of Habib from Urwah, because al-Zuhri narrated it from Urwah from Aishah and said in it: She used to perform ghusl for every prayer. All of this is the statement of Abu Dawud.
