حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبُوشَنْجِيُّ نا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثُونَا عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ لَمَّا كُنَّا بِالشَّامِ
أَتَيْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ َضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِمَاءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ مِنْ أَيْنَ جِئْتَ بِهَذَا الْمَاءِ مَا رَأَيْتُ مَاءً عَذْبًا وَلَا مَاءَ سَمَاءٍ أَطْيَبَ مِنْهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ جِئْتُ بِهِ مِنْ بَيْتِ هَذِهِ الْعَجُوزِ النَّصْرَانِيَّةِ فَلَمَّا تَوَضَّأَ أَتَاهَا فَقَالَ أَيَّتُهَا الْعَجُوزُ أَسْلِمِي تَسْلَمِي بَعَثَ اللَّهُ مُحَمَّدًا ﷺ بِالْحَقِّ قَالَ فَكَشَفَتْ رَأْسَهَا فَإِذَا مِثْلُ الثَّغَامَةِ فَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ كَبِيرَةٌ وَإِنَّمَا أَمُوتُ الْآنَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ ؓ اللَّهُمَّ اشْهَدْ
