machine translationYaḥyā b. Yamān narrates it from al-Thawrī, from Manṣūr, from Khālid b. Saʿīd, from Abū Masʿūd. It is said that Yaḥyā erred in it, and that al-Thawrī only narrated this from al-Kalbī, from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from al-Muṭṭalib b. Abī Wadāʿah, from the Prophet ﷺ, and al-Kalbī is abandoned in hadith (matrūk al-ḥadīth). This is not known from the hadith of Manṣūr except through the narration of Yaḥyā b. Yamān from al-Thawrī. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Abān, who is abandoned (matrūk), corroborated him from al-Thawrī, and al-Yasaʿ b. Ismāʿīl, who is weak (ḍaʿīf), also corroborated them both from Zayd b. al-Ḥubāb, from al-Thawrī.

machine translationIbn Yamān made a mistake against al-Thawrī in this hadith, saying: from Manṣūr, from Khālid b. Saʿd, from Abū Masʿūd. But it is in fact from al-Thawrī, from al-Kalbī, from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from al-Muṭṭalib.

machine translationKhālid b. Saʿd has other hadiths, except that what is objectionable (yunkar) among his hadiths is the one I have mentioned.
