In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

  • Ishbīlī

machine translationIt is narrated as a saying of Ibn ʿUmar, and it is not authentic as a connected report traced to the Prophet (musnad).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 4250
  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationThe authentic position is that it is stopped at ʿUmar (mawqūf).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 4250
  • Ibn Daqīq al-ʿĪd

machine translationWhat is known about it is that it is stopped (mawqūf), and the one who raised it (to the Prophet) is trustworthy (thiqah).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 4250
  • Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī

machine translationʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār narrated it thus and erred in it by raising it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. It is an error that it is not permissible to mention.

  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationIts being stopped (mawqūf) is the authentic position.

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 4250
  • al-Khaṭīb al-Baghdādī

machine translationThe preserved (maḥfūẓ) version is that it is stopped at Ibn ʿUmar: that ʿUmar ruled accordingly.

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 4250
  • Ibn al-Qaṭṭān

machine translationIts narrators are all trustworthy (thiqāt), and in my view the one who traced it back to the Prophet (asnadahu) is a trustworthy narrator and better than the one who stopped it.

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 4250
  • Ibn Daqīq al-ʿĪd

machine translationWhat is known about it is that it is stopped at ʿUmar (mawqūf), and the one who raised it is trustworthy (thiqah). It was said that it is not authentic as a connected report traced to the Prophet (musnad).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 4250
  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Muslim al-Qasmalī narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Yūnus b. Muḥammad al-Muʾaddib narrated it from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz, from ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār, from Ibn ʿUmar, from the Prophet ﷺ. Shaybān b. Farrūkh contradicted him and narrated it from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz, from ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār, from Ibn ʿUmar, from ʿUmar as his own saying. ʿAbdullāh b. Jaʿfar al-Madīnī also narrated it from ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār, from Ibn ʿUmar, from the Prophet ﷺ, but the reliable memorizers (ḥuffāẓ) among the students of ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār, among them Mālik and Ismāʿīl b. Jaʿfar and others, contradicted him. They narrated it from ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār, from Ibn ʿUmar, from ʿUmar as his own saying, and that is the correct version.
