I set out water for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to bathe, and he bathed from janābah. He tipped the vessel with his left hand over his right, and washed his hands three times each. Then he put his hand into the vessel and poured water over his private parts. Then he said with his hand on the wall or the ground [i.e. rubbed it]. Then he rinsed his mouth, sniffed water into his nose, and washed his face and his forearms. Then he poured water over the rest of his body. Then he moved aside and washed his feet.

machine translationAl-Aʿmash narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Abū Muʿāwiyah, Wakīʿ, Ḥafṣ, ʿĪsā b. Yūnus, al-Thawrī, Abū Ḥamzah al-Sukkarī and Muḥāḍir narrated it from al-Aʿmash, from Sālim, from Kurayb, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from Maymūnah. Abū Wakīʿ narrated it from al-Aʿmash, from Sālim, from Kurayb, from Maymūnah, and he omitted Ibn ʿAbbās from it. The first is more sound (aṣaḥḥ).
