A woman of the Anṣār from Banū ʿAmr b. ʿAwf, called Khansāʾ bint Khidhām, was married off by her father while she was previously married (thayyib). So she came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said, "The matter is up to you." She said, "Then I have no need of it." So he annulled her marriage. After that she married Abū Lubābah b. ʿAbd al-Mundhir, and she gave birth to al-Sāʾib b. Abī Lubābah.

machine translationIt is narrated by Yaḥyā b. Abū Kathīr and ʿUmar b. Abī Salamah, and there is disagreement concerning him. Ḥajjāj al-Ṣawwāf and Shaybān b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, in the transmission of al-Walīd b. Muslim, and Sūrah b. al-Ḥakam narrated it from him, from Yaḥyā, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah. Abū al-Asbāṭ Bishr b. Rāfiʿ al-Ḥārithī followed them, narrating it from Yaḥyā in the same way. Abū Ḥanīfah and ʿAlī b. Yazīd al-Ṣudāʾī together, and Abū Yaḥyā al-Ḥimmānī, the father of Yaḥyā, narrated it from Shaybān, from Yaḥyā, from al-Muhājir b. ʿIkrimah, from Abū Hurayrah, in place of Abū Salamah. Hishām al-Dastuwāʾī, Maʿmar, Abān al-ʿAṭṭār and ʿAlī b. al-Mubārak disagreed with them: they narrated it from Yaḥyā, from al-Muhājir b. ʿIkrimah, as a mursal report, and this is the correct one (ṣaḥīḥ).

لا يوصلون هذا الحديث يقولون أبو سلمة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مرسل ومرسل أشبه
machine translationThey do not connect (waṣl) this hadith; they say, "Abū Salamah, from the Prophet ﷺ," which is disconnected (mursal), and the mursal version is more likely.
