Translation

✧ Abū Bakr al-Naysābūrī narrated to us; Aḥmad b. Manṣūr narrated to us; Nu‘aym b. Ḥammād narrated to us; Muḥammad b. Yazīd al-Wāsiṭī narrated to us; from Sufyān b. Ḥusayn with this chain, the like of it. No one narrated it other than Sufyān b. Ḥusayn, and the ḥuffāẓ disagreed with him from al-Zuhrī, among them Mālik, Ibn ‘Uyaynah, Yūnus, Ma‘mar, Ibn Jurayj, al-Zubaydī, ‘Uqayl, Layth b. Sa‘d, and others. All of them narrated it from al-Zuhrī and said: The dumb animal is junub, the well is junub, and the mine is junub, and they did not mention the foot, and that is the correct version.
