  • Dāraquṭnī

الصواب ابن جريج عن سليمان مرسلا وفي لفظ عنده مرفوعا من توضأ فليمضمض وضعفه

machine translationThe correct form is Ibn Jurayj from Sulaymān as a mursal report (mursal). In one wording he has it as raised to the Prophet (marfūʿ): "Whoever performs ablution, let him rinse his mouth." And he declared it weak (ḍaʿīf).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 280
  • Dāraquṭnī

أعله بالاضطراب وقال إنه وهم والصواب رواية ابن جريج عن سليمان بن موسى مرسلا

machine translationHe found it defective because of inconsistency (iḍṭirāb), and said that it is an error, and that the correct report is the narration of Ibn Jurayj from Sulaymān b. Mūsā as a mursal report (mursal).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 280
  • Dāraquṭnī

وحديث عائشة قال فيه الدارقطني إرساله أصح

machine translationAs for the hadith of ʿĀʾishah, al-Dāraquṭnī said about it: its being mursal is more correct (aṣaḥḥ).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 280
  • Dāraquṭnī

    والمرسل أصح

machine translationThe mursal version (the report narrated without the Companion in the chain) is more authentic (aṣaḥḥ).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 280
