machine translationI say: ʿAmmār b. Maṭar is ruined (hālik). Abū Ḥātim said: He used to lie. Ibn ʿAdī said: His hadiths are falsehoods. Al-Dāraquṭnī said: He is weak (ḍaʿīf).

machine translationI say: ʿAmmār b. Maṭar is ruined (hālik). Abū Ḥātim said: He used to lie. Ibn ʿAdī said: His hadiths are falsehoods. Al-Dāraquṭnī said: He is weak (ḍaʿīf). It has also been narrated as a statement of Abū Hurayrah (mawqūf).

machine translationQays b. al-Rabīʿ narrates it, and there is disagreement about it from him. Yaḥyā b. Ādam and ʿAmmār b. Maṭar narrated it from Qays b. al-Rabīʿ, from ʿAmr b. Murrah, from ʿAbdullāh b. al-Ḥārith, from ʿAbdullāh b. Mālik, from Abū Hurayrah. Jubārah b. Mughallis narrated it from Qays b. al-Rabīʿ and did not mention ʿAbdullāh b. Mālik in it. The first statement is closer to correct.
machine translationBoth hadiths are authentic (ṣaḥīḥ); Ḥabīb heard from ʿUmārah and from Abū al-Muṭawwis.
