I went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the ʿumrah of Ramadan. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ broke the fast while I fasted, and he shortened the prayer while I completed it. So I said: "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, may my father and mother be your ransom, you broke the fast and I fasted, you shortened and I completed." He said: "You did well, O ʿĀʾishah."

- ابن عبد الهادي الحنبلي
أن هذا المتن منكر فإن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لم يعتمر في رمضان قط
machine translationThis text is rejected (munkar), for the Prophet ﷺ never performed ʿumrah in Ramadan.
in سنن الدارقطني, p. 2294 - Ibn al-Qayyim
إنه غلط لأن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لم يعتمر في رمضان
machine translationIt is a mistake, because the Prophet ﷺ did not perform ʿumrah in Ramadan.
in سنن الدارقطني, p. 2294 - M. ibn Ḥibbān al-Bustī
machine translationIbn Ḥibbān said of al-ʿAlāʾ b. Zuhayr: He narrates from the trustworthy ones (thiqāt) what does not resemble the hadiths of the reliable ones (athbāt), so relying on him as evidence is invalid. He said this in the Book of the Weak Narrators (al-Ḍuʿafāʾ), and he also mentioned him in the Book of the Trustworthy Narrators (al-Thiqāt), so his statements about him are contradictory.

in سنن الدارقطني, p. 2294 - Badr al-Dīn al-ʿAynī
اختلف فيه على العلاء فعلى هذا الإسناد غير موصول
machine translationThere is disagreement about it from al-ʿAlāʾ, so according to this chain it is not connected (ghayr mawṣūl).
