قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا الْوَاقِدِيُّ ثنا مَعْمَرٌ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
رَأَى هِلَالَ شَوَّالٍ نَهَارًا فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَنْ تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تَرَوُا الْهِلَالَ مِنْ حَيْثُ يُرَى
Translation

✧ He saw the new moon of Shawwal during the day, and Ibn Umar said, "It is not permissible for you to break your fast until you see the new moon from where it is seen."
