ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr was asked about jewels, pearls, gemstones and beads, and about the plants of the earth: vegetables, cucumbers and gherkins. He said: "There is no zakāh on stones, and there is no zakāh on vegetables. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ only established it for wheat, barley, dates and raisins."
