machine translationShuʿbah narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. ʿĪsā b. Wāqid and al-Ḥasan b. ʿAmr b. Sayf al-Baṣrī narrated it from Shuʿbah, from Muḥammad b. al-Munkadir, from Jābir. Ghundar, Muʿādh b. Muʿādh and others among the students of Shuʿbah contradicted them, narrating it from Shuʿbah, from ʿAmr b. Dīnār, from Jābir, and this is the correct (ṣaḥīḥ) version. Likewise Warqāʾ and others narrated it from ʿAmr b. Dīnār, from Jābir.
