حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ جَابِرٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ قَالَ

خَرَجْتُ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ أَرْضًا لَهُ فَيَنْزِلُ مَنْزِلًا فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ إِنَّ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ لَمَّا بِهَا فَلَا أَظُنُّ أَنْ تُدْرِكَهَا وَذَلِكَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ قَالَ فَخَرَجَ مُسْرِعًا وَمَعَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشِ فَسِرْنَا حَتَّى إِذَا غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَكَانَ عَهْدِي بِصَاحِبِي وَهُوَ مُحَافِظٌ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَقُلْتُ الصَّلَاةُ فَلَمْ يَلْتَفِتْ إِلَيَّ وَمَضَى كَمَا هُوَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ مِنْ آخِرِ الشَّفَقِ نَزَلَ فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ ثُمَّ أَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَقَدْ تَوَارَى الشَّفَقُ فَصَلَّى بِنَا الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا عَجَّلَ بِهِ أَمْرٌ صَنَعَ هَكَذَا
