  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

    machine translationA rejected (munkar) hadith.

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 1421
  • Yaḥyá b. Maʿīn

machine translationBecause of these oddities, Ibn Maʿīn declared his hadith weak (ḍaʿīf), meaning this hadith and others.

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 1421
  • Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī

machine translationThe memorizers of hadith (ḥuffāẓ) declared him weak (ḍaʿīf).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 1421
  • Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn al-Bayhaqī

machine translationThis hadith is known only through ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Ziyād al-Ifrīqī, and Yaḥyā b. Maʿīn, Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd al-Qaṭṭān, Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal and ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Mahdī declared him weak (ḍaʿīf).

machine translationʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Ziyād is weak (ḍaʿīf); he is not to be used as evidence.

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 1421
  • Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr

machine translationThis hadith is not sound in the first place, because al-Ifrīqī ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Ziyād was alone in transmitting it.

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 1421
  • Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr

machine translationThis hadith is contradicted by what is stronger than it in transmission.

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 1421
  • Maghlaṭay

machine translationIbn Anʿum and Ibn Rāfiʿ are both weak (ḍaʿīf). The hadith of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from Ibn ʿAmr is disconnected (munqaṭiʿ), in addition to his weakness and the rejected nature (nakārah) of his hadith. As for Bakr b. Sawādah, although he is trustworthy (thiqah), I have not seen anyone state explicitly that he narrated from Ibn ʿAmr, nor mention any narration of his from him, as far as I know.

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 1421
  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Rāfiʿ al-Tanūkhī: if his narration from ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr b. al-ʿĀṣ is authentic, then it is a rejected hadith (munkar).

    in سنن الدارقطني, p. 1421
