✧ On taking the left with the right in prayer

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ نا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
كُنَّا بِالْمَدِينَةِ إِذَا أُذِّنَ بِالْمَغْرِبِ ابْتَدَرَ الْقَوْمُ السَّوَارِيَ يُصَلُّونَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى إِنَّ الْغَرِيبَ لَيَدْخُلُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَيَرَى أَنَّ الصَّلَاةَ قَدْ صُلِّيَتْ مِنْ كَثْرَةِ مَنْ يُصَلِّيهَا

✧ When the call to Maghrib was given in Madinah, the people would rush to the pillars and pray two rak‘ahs, so much so that a stranger entering the mosque would think the prayer had already been performed because of the large number of those praying it.
