Sahih al-Bukhari 740

To place the right hand on the left [in As-Salt (the prayers)]

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّاسُ يُؤْمَرُونَ أَنْ يَضَعَ الرَّجُلُ الْيَدَ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى ذِرَاعِهِ الْيُسْرَى فِي الصَّلاَةِ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. ʿAbdullāh b. Maslamah
  2. Mālik
  3. Abū Ḥāzim
  4. Sahl b. Saʿd

The people were ordered to place the right hand on the left forearm in the prayer. Abu Hazim said, "I knew that the order was from the Prophet ﷺ."
