Surat an-Nisa’ (Women)

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ

أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ تَلاَ {ِلاَّ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ} قَالَ كُنْتُ أَنَا وَأُمِّي مِمَّنْ عَذَرَ اللَّهُ

Translation

Ibn ʿAbbas recited:-- "Except the weak ones among men women and children," (4.98) and said, "My mother and I were among those whom Allah had excused."
