✧ People will be gathered—meaning on the Day of Resurrection—and will come to Adam, saying, 'O our father, ask for the opening of the Garden for us.' He says, 'Did anything but the sin of your father Adam expel you from the Garden? I am not the one for that. Go to Ibrahim, the friend of his Lord.' Ibrahim says, 'I am not the one for that. I was only a friend from behind, behind. Go to the one to whom Allah spoke directly.' They come to Musa ﷺ, and he says, 'I am not the one for that. Go to the Word of Allah and His Spirit, 'Isa ﷺ.' He says, 'I am not the one for that. Go to Muhammad ﷺ.' They come to Muhammad ﷺ and he intercedes. Then the bridge is laid down, and the first of you pass like lightning. I said, 'May my father and mother be your ransom.' Then like the wind, and birds, and the running of men. Your Prophet is on the bridge, saying, 'O Allah, grant safety, grant safety,' until the people cross. A man comes who can only crawl. On the sides of the bridge are hanging hooks that seize those they are commanded to seize. Some are scratched and saved, and some are piled up in the Fire.
