✧ I arrived in Madinah and stayed with Abu Hurayrah for a month. He told me that he fell ill, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque and said, 'Where is the Dawsī lad?' It was said, 'There he is, in a corner of the mosque, ill.' He came and placed his hand on me and said something kind. Then he said, 'If Shayṭān causes me to forget something in my prayer, let the men say subḥān Allāh and the women clap.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood in prayer, and behind him were two rows of men and one row of women, or two rows of women and one row of men, and he prayed without forgetting anything. When he finished his prayer, he praised and extolled Allah, then said, 'To proceed: Does one of you perhaps lock his door, draw his curtain, and conceal himself with Allah's concealment, then go out and say, "I did such-and-such with my wife, and I did such-and-such with my wife?"' A full-breasted slave girl stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, they do that, and they (women) do that.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Shall I tell you the likeness of that?' They said, 'What is its likeness?' He said, 'The likeness of a male Shayṭān who meets a female Shayṭān in a road and mates with her while people watch.' Then he said, 'Indeed, a woman should not touch a woman, nor a man a man, except for a child and a parent.' Then he said, 'The perfume of men is one whose scent is apparent but its color is not, and the perfume of women is one whose color is apparent but its scent is not.'
