✧ What 'Abd al-Rahman al-A'raj narrated from Abu Hurayrah

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، نَا خَالِدٌ، نَا سُهَيْلٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ، قَالَ:
وَسَمَ الْعَبَّاسُ بَعِيرًا لَهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: فَهَلَّا فِي عَظْمٍ غَيْرِ الْوَجْهِ ؟ فَقَالَ: وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ، لَا أَسِمُ إِلَّا فِي آخِرِ عَظْمٍ مِنْهُ، فَوَسَمَ فِي الْجَاعِرَتَيْنِ
Translation

✧ Al-'Abbas branded a camel of his on its face. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: 'Why not on a bone other than the face?' He said: 'By the One who sent you with the truth, I will not brand except on the last bone of it,' so he branded it on the two haunches.
