حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو هِشَامٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ: نَا سَالِمُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُجَيٍّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

" سَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا فِي الدَّارِ فَخَرَجْتُ فَإِذَا جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقُلْتُ: مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ فَقَالَ: الْمَلَكُ لَا يَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ كَلْبٌ، وَلَا صُورَةٌ، وَلَا جُنُبٌ، وَكَانَ فِي الْبَيْتِ جَرْوٌ يَلْعَبُ بِهِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ

✧ "I heard a sound in the house, so I went out and there was Jibril ﷺ. I said, 'What prevented you from entering?' He said, 'The angel does not enter a house in which there is a dog, or an image, or a person in a state of major ritual impurity.' In the house there was a puppy that al-Hasan b. 'Ali was playing with."
