✧ What 'Abd al-Rahman al-A'raj narrated from Abu Hurayrah

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يُونُسَ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ؛ رَجُلٌ حَلَفَ عَلَى سِلْعَةٍ لَقَدْ أُعْطِيَ فِيهَا أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا أَعْطَى، وَرَجُلٌ مَنَعَ فَضْلَ مَاءٍ فَيَقُولُ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: الْيَوْمَ أَمْنَعُكَ فَضْلِي كَمَا مَنَعْتَ فَضْلَ مَا لَمْ تَعْمَلْ يَدَاكَ. وَرَجُلٌ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ

✧ Three people Allah will not speak to on the Day of Resurrection: a man who swears about a commodity that he was given more for it than he actually gave; a man who withholds surplus water, so Allah, blessed and exalted, says: 'Today I withhold My surplus from you as you withheld the surplus of what your hands did not make'; and a man who swears an oath after the afternoon prayer to thereby seize the wealth of a Muslim man.
