وَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: نَا جَابِرُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
لَأَعْرِفَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ مُتَّكِئًا أَتَاهُ عَنِّي حَدِيثًا وَهُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ عَلَى أَرِيكَتِهِ يَقُولُ اتْلُو بِهِ عَلَيَّ قُرْآنًا، مَا جَاءَكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ أَنَا قُلْتُهُ، وَإِنْ لَمْ أَقُلْهُ فَأَنَا أَقُولُهُ، وَمَا جَاءَكُمْ مِنْ شَرٍّ فَإِنِّي لَا أَقُولُ الشَّرَّ

✧ Let me not find one of you reclining on his couch, and when a hadith from me comes to him while he is reclining on his couch, he says, “Recite to me a Qur'an [verse]. What came to you of good, I said it, and if I did not say it, I say it now; and what came to you of evil, I do not say evil.”
