حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، قَالُوا ثَنَا أَبُو عَتَّابٍ الدَّلَّالُ، قَالَ: نَا الْمُخْتَارُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيُّ وَاسْمُهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

" رَحِمَ اللهُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ زَوَّجَنِي ابْنَتَهُ وَحَمَلَنِي إِلَى دَارِ الْهِجْرَةِ وَأَعْتَقَ بِلَالًا مِنْ مَالِهِ، رَحِمَ اللهُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ الْحَقَّ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُرًّا تَرَكَهُ الْحَقُّ مَا لَهُ صَدِيقٌ، رَحِمَ اللهُ عُثْمَانَ تَسْتَحْيِيهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ، رَحِمَ اللهُ عَلِيًّا اللَّهُمَّ أَدِرِ الْحَقَّ مَعَهُ حَيْثُ دَارَ

✧ "May Allah have mercy on Abu Bakr: he married me to his daughter, carried me to the abode of the Hijrah, and freed Bilal with his own wealth. May Allah have mercy on Umar: he speaks the truth even if it is bitter; the truth left him without a friend. May Allah have mercy on Uthman: the angels are shy of him. May Allah have mercy on Ali: O Allah, make the truth turn with him wherever he turns."
