✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ during Ramadan and said: O Messenger of God, he had sexual intercourse with his wife during the day. He said: Woe to you, free a slave. He said: I do not have one. He said: Fast two consecutive months. He said: O Messenger of God, have I not been afflicted except because of fasting? He said: Feed sixty poor people. He said: I cannot find any. He said: Sit down. Then a man came with his charity carrying it. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Where is the man who spoke just now? Take this and give it in charity on your own behalf. He said: O Messenger of God, is charity not only for one who is a guardian? By the One who sent you with the truth, there is no one between its two lava fields more in need than us. He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ laughed until his molars showed and said: Take it and eat it and spend it on your family.
