حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَزَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ وَشِبْلِ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْأَمَةِ تَزْنِي قَبْلَ أَنْ تُحْصَنَ، فَقَالَ: إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا، ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ: فَبِيعُوهَا وَلَوْ بِضَفِيرٍ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ was asked about a slave woman who commits adultery before she is married. He said: 'If she commits adultery, flog her. Then if she commits adultery, flog her.' Then he said on the third or fourth time: 'Sell her, even for a hair rope.'
