  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationAl-Naḍr b. Shaybān narrates it from Abū Salamah, from his father. Naṣr b. ʿAlī al-Jahḍamī al-Akbar, Abū ʿAqīl al-Dawraqī Bashīr b. ʿUqbah, and al-Qāsim b. al-Faḍl al-Ḥuddānī narrated it from him. Al-Zuhrī narrated it from Abū Salamah b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Abū Hurayrah, and he did not mention in it "and I have made its standing in prayer a sunnah for the Muslims"; he only mentioned in it the merit of fasting it. The hadith of al-Zuhrī is closer to being correct.

  • al-Bukhari

machine translationThis hadith of his, from Abū Salamah, from his father, is not authentic (lam yaṣiḥḥ). Al-Zuhrī, Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr and Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd said: from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, and this is more authentic (aṣaḥḥ).
