✧ What Sa'id b. al-Musayyib narrated from Abu Hurayra

7846 7842 - وَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى، قَالَ:

نَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمِثْلِهِ. وَلَا نَعْلَمُ أَسْنَدَ أَشْعَثُ عَنْ دَاوُدَ غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، وَلَمْ يُسْنِدْ دَاوُدُ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ إِلَّا حَدِيثَيْنِ هَذَا أَحَدُهُمَا وَالْأَخَرُ:

Translation

✧ Ubayd Allah b. Mu'adh narrated to us from his father, from Ash'ath, from Dawud, from Sa'id b. al-Musayyib, from Abu Hurayra, from the Prophet ﷺ, its like. And we do not know that Ash'ath transmitted any hadith from Dawud other than this one, and Dawud did not transmit from Sa'id from Abu Hurayra except two hadiths, of which this is one, and the other is:
