  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationIsmāʿīl al-Suddī narrates it from Abū Hubayrah, from Anas. This is what al-Thawrī, Isrāʾīl and others said from him. It was also said, from Wakīʿ, from al-Thawrī, from al-Suddī, from Abū Hubayrah, from Anas b. Ṭalḥah. But Abū Ṭalḥah is not correct (lā yaṣiḥḥ) in the hadith of al-Suddī. Rather, Layth b. Abī Sulaym narrated it from Abū Hubayrah, from Anas, from Abū Ṭalḥah. The hadith of al-Suddī is closer to being correct.

  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationAl-Thawrī and Isrāʾīl narrate it from al-Suddī, from Abū Hubayrah, from Anas, from the Prophet ﷺ. Qays differed from them and narrated it from al-Suddī, from Abū Hubayrah, from Anas, from Abū Ṭalḥah, making it from the musnad of Abū Ṭalḥah, from the Prophet ﷺ. Likewise Layth b. Abī Sulaym narrated it from Abū Hubayrah Yaḥyā b. ʿAbbād, from Anas, from Abū Ṭalḥah. The correct (ṣaḥīḥ) one is the statement of al-Thawrī and Isrāʾīl.
