حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَا، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، نَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:
مَرَرْنَا فَاسْتَنْفَجْنَا أَرْنَبًا بِمَرِّ الظَّهْرَانِ، فَالْتَحَفْنَا عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى أَدْرَكْنَاهَا، فَأَتَيْتُ بِهَا أَبَا طَلْحَةَ فَذَبَحَهَا وَبَعَثَ بِوَرِكِهَا وَفَخِذِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَتَيْتُ بِهَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَبِلَهَا

✧ We passed by and startled a rabbit at Marr al-Zahran, and we surrounded it until we caught it. I brought it to Abu Talhah, and he slaughtered it and sent its haunch and thigh to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I brought it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he accepted it.
