حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَوْسَطَ الْبَجَلِيِّ. وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: نَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ أَوْسَطَ الْبَجَلِيِّ، يَتَقَارَبَانِ فِي أَلْفَاظِهِمَا

أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ، قَامَ فِي النَّاسِ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَامَ فِينَا عَامَ أَوَّلَ فَاسْتَعْبَرَ فَبَكَى فَقَعَدَ، ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ قَامَ أَيْضًا فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَامَ فِينَا عَامَ أَوَّلَ، فَقَالَ: عَلَيْكُمْ بِالصِّدْقِ فَإِنَّهُ مِنَ الْبِرِّ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْكَذِبَ فَإِنَّهُ مِنَ الْفُجُورِ، وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا، وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا، وَلَا تَقَاطَعُوا، وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللهِ إِخْوَانًا، كَمَا أَمَرَكُمُ اللهُ، وَسَلُوا اللهَ الْعَافِيَةَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُعْطَى عَبْدٌ خَيْرًا مِنْ مُعَافَاةٍ بَعْدَ يَقِينٍ

✧ Abu Bakr al-Siddiq stood among the people, praised and extolled Allah, then said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us last year and was moved to tears, and wept, then sat down. Then he stood again and said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us last year and said: You must be truthful, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and beware of lying, for lying leads to wickedness. Do not hate one another, do not turn your backs on one another, do not sever ties with one another, and be, O servants of Allah, brothers, as Allah has commanded you. Ask Allah for well-being, for no servant is given anything better than well-being after certainty.
